Attractive printed wall hanging reproducing ‘Grasshopper and Iris’ a woodblock by Katsushika Hokusai (1760–1849), best known for his ukiyo-e prints. The ukiyo-e era, which means "pictures of the floating world," was a period in Japanese art history during the Edo period (17th to 19th centuries) characterised by the production of woodblock prints depicting scenes of daily life, kabuki actors, beautiful landscapes, and courtesans. Hang this artwork in your living space to create a serene and elegant atmosphere inspired by the floating world of ukiyo-e.
