Description

Attractive runner recalling 17th-century Italian silk and linen brocatelle typical of those adopted by native weavers from Damascene examples. The word 'damask' first appeared in records in a Western European language in the mid-14th century in French, By the 14th century, damasks were being woven on draw looms in Italy and were much sought after across Europe. This smart runner would make a perfect addition to any hallway.
