Trio of Arts & Crafts Hangers

Set of three floral padded cotton coat hangers in soft green, blue, cream and muted red, recalling 'Golden Lily', 1899, designed for Morris & Co. by John Henry Dearle. Dearle joined Morris & Co. as a young shop assistant in 1878 and proved so gifted that Morris himself trained him as a designer, eventually appointing him chief designer and art director. 'Golden Lily', with its graceful interlacing of lily stems, tulips and leaves in a palette of softly luminous colour, is among the most accomplished of all his designs and one of the most beloved in the entire Morris & Co. collection. Finished with a satin ribbon, our set of coat hangers are a beautiful and practical gift for any admirer of Morris & Co.
