Mouse with Bluebells Ornament

Limited-edition mouse bronze sculpture by a contemporary artist, continuing the animalier tradition of artists such as Alphonse Arson (1822–95). The ornament is finished in a wax patina and hand-painted with a bluebell, a 19th-century symbol of humility and everlasting love. Each piece is part of an edition of 250, gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity. The tradition of animalier sculpture flourished in the 19th century, with artists capturing the charm and character of animals in bronze and other media.
