Delightful mouse in a teacup tree decoration recalling the Victorian tradition of transforming sugar mice into whimsical ornaments for the Christmas tree. During the 19th century, sugar mice were a popular confection and were often used as festive decorations before being enjoyed as a sweet treat. Pretty little Christmas tree hangers. Bought 3 as gifts for others and 1 for myself.
Postage is expensive. Probably because the box was very large for it's contents and most of the weight was taken up by catalogues.

I only sent for two to see what they were like. I couldn't tell from the illustrations and description if they were ceramic, resin or just cardboard cut outs. However I have now ordered a few more. They make wonderful little gifts. The mice are so dinky, like illustrations from "The Tailor of Gloucester" and definitely 3D.
