Greenwich Desk Clock

Handsome desk clock with antique finish and faux leather binding, the 1884 celebrates the year in which Greenwich was internationally recognised as the prime meridian for measuring longitude, its design inspired by a pocket watch of that era. The International Meridian Conference of 1884, held in Washington D.C. and attended by representatives of 25 nations, established the meridian passing through the Royal Observatory at Greenwich as the world's prime meridian, the line of zero longitude from which all the world's time zones and navigational calculations would be measured.
