Delightful greetings cards showcasing the art of much-loved American illustrator Jessie Willcox Smith (1863-1935). Reproducing illustrations for children’s books, now in the collection of The British Library. The cards reflect the antique colours and ‘soft’ print quality of the original source material. Images comprise an illustration of a boy and girl reading from ‘The Way to Wonderland', 1920; 'She was sitting in a hammock, trying to amuse herself with an old Atlas and not succeeding at all well', and ‘She knew she could eat one whenever she wanted to, so she was in no hurry', both from 'The Everyday Fairy Book', 1917; 'She lufs me: she lufs me not', from 'The Now-a-days Fairy Book', 1911; and an illustration of a little girl absorbed by her book from 'A Child's Garden of Verses', 1905. Charming cards to bring the artist’s signature style to a new generation.
