Bird House Advent Calendar

A charming, free-standing advent calendar decorated with whimsical illustrations of 18 British and North American birds, some holding candy canes and ornaments in their beaks or perching atop a fairytale birdhouse. Recalling the anthropomorphic art of illustrators such as Molly Brett (1902-90) and Racey Helps (1913-70), the design includes jays, Cardinal birds, hummingbirds, a woodpecker, nut hatch and finches. Cleverly created in three die-cut cardboard layers, the design pops-up from flat to stand and display. The extravagant birdhouse featured in the design is accented with 3-D appliqués and features 24 numbered doors. Open the windows to reveal a daily, bird-themed illustration.
