A glorious wall calendar celebrating the bright colours and lush flowers of tropical plants. Reproducing details from 12 exquisite floral paintings by intrepid and pioneering botanical artist Marianne North (1830-90). The globe-trotting British biologist and artist travelled extensively to study plants in their natural setting and the calendar captures a variety of habitats. Unusually for a botanical artist, North also included landscapes and fauna in some of her paintings, such as hummingbirds alongside a Brazilian climber and a ‘Green Gaper’ bird alongside Sandoricum fruit in Borneo. Includes a flowering Coral Tree, the Capucin Tree of the Seychelles, an Indian Laburnum, ‘The Sacred Lotus or Pudma’, and wildflowers of India and Brazil. Enjoy vibrant views and tropical living every day of the year.

Looks a quality calendar and one concern before ordering was how close the hole was at the top to hang the calendar and it’s sufficiently away from the edge of the calendar so we can hang it! Pleased with purchase.
