Description
Volet-scented soap recalling the Victorian fascination with floral fragrances, when violets symbolised modesty and refinement. Favoured by Queen Victoria, violet perfumes and toiletries graced the dressing tables of fashionable women throughout the 19th century. The soap is enriched with organic shea butter and almond oil for a luxurious lather, and is presented on a ceramic dish crafted in Grasse, the historic centre of French perfumery since the 18th century. Grasse became synonymous with fine fragrance production, and this set would make a beautiful gift choice.

The ceramic soap dish is charming, decorated with violets to one side. It's a proper soap dish with drainage holes to avoid a soggy bar of soap. It carries the name on the reverse of a company in Provence. The soap is very attractive, being decorated in relief with violets. It is pleasantly scented and is reminiscent of times past. Presented in an attractive violet-decorated box, it's a lovely gift - for a friend or for yourself.
