Description
A fiendish, one-player puzzle for bright sparks: can you untangle the cable and plywood ‘plug’ to ‘change’ the lightbulb in this testing twist on a ‘wire and string’ puzzle? Manipulate the cord, encumbered by the bulky two-pin plug, to disentangle the pieces. With infuriating twists and turns, your fingers and grey cells will not rest as you attempt to solve the knotty problem. Long associated with ‘Eureka!’ moments, the American Thomas Edison (1847-1931) is often credited with the invention of the lightbulb, patenting and then manufacturing a design from 1880; yet Edison was only one of many scientists and inventors - including British scientists Humphry Davy, Warren de la Rue and Jospeh Wilson Swan - who developed what became the technology of the incandescent light bulb. Presented in plastic-free packaging and without the solution included in the box, this tactile puzzle with fascinate and infuriate in equal measure. An intermediate challenge from a range of puzzles designed by acclaimed contemporary puzzle inventor Jean Claude Constantin.
