Having been inspired by the rugged, all-terrain characteristics of the Willy’s Jeep during the Second World War, Wilks pondered an improved British design to take on challenging terrain at home and abroad. Recreate the shape of the vehicle with 170 tactile printed plywood pieces. The pieces present a unique engineering challenge for puzzlers as they are cut with non-standard edges; the precision-cut pieces also include 15 miniature Land Rover-shaped ‘whimsy’ pieces to slot into the overall design.
