A Country Garden Jigsaw

A jigsaw puzzle to piece together a pretty and peaceful country garden-inspired design showcasing details from exquisite illustrations by Edith Holden (1871-1920). The writer and art teacher recorded her observations of the English countryside in words and images in her ‘Nature Notes for 1906’, a book which became an international bestseller when published in the 1970s as ‘The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady’. Mixing wild and cultivated favourites, spot foxgloves, hawthorn, poppies, clover, hyacinth, apple blossom and honeysuckle in a dainty design which layers the colourful specimens with silhouettes of flowers and foliage. Printed with Edith Holden’s name and lettering spelling ‘GARDEN’, the cottage garden-design also includes buzzing bees, dragonflies, and butterflies such as the Red Admiral and Common Blue. Sustainably produced in plastic-free packaging, the jigsaw includes a convenient image guide and a compact, space-saving box.
