Butterfly Silhouette Watering Can

Petite blue metal indoor watering can with a bronze-tone butterfly print, iron alloy with a soft blue-tone base. Ideal for watering houseplants, succulents and indoor herbs, or simply displayed as a decorative piece on a shelf or windowsill. The butterfly has been a potent symbol in decorative art for millennia, representing transformation, the soul and fleeting beauty in cultures from ancient Greece to Edo-period Japan. In the 19th century the motif enjoyed a particular renaissance in the Arts and Crafts and Aesthetic movements, where designers celebrated natural forms as an antidote to industrial uniformity.
