Description
Furnish your home with this ornamental table lamp, with a painted ceramic vase base and a classic polysilk shade. From the early 17th century, the Qing Dynasty produced exquisite forms of fine and decorative art, informed by the rich traditions of Chinese painting. Across the decorative arts, many craftsmen worked in the imperial court furnishing the palace with everything from exquisite jewellery art to traditional Chinese lacquerware and jade sculpture. Reflecting the skilled artistry of workers and master craftsmen from the Forbidden City, our Quing Lamp has been decorated with an ornate design of butterflies and flowers – a popular motif in oriental art. This vase style lamp has been inspired by a ceramic tea caddy from the Qing Dynasty (1644-1912). A statement table lamp, creating elegant, ambient lighting.

Very classy, a bold golden statement. We bought a pair and are pleased with the effect both day and evening. However be aware that the shade is pale taupe golden, not yellowy gold as illustrated in the catalogue. This was misleading as it shows it illuminated, initially I was disappointed as it didn't give the 'pop' of colour I was expecting during daylight hours. Happy now I've got used to the difference in expectation!
