Porcelain foxgloves mug showcasing floral details from exquisitely observed illustrations by Edith Holden (1871-1920). The writer and art teacher recorded her observations of the English countryside in words and images in her ‘Nature Notes for 1906’, a book which became an international bestseller when published in the 1970s as ‘The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady’. Wrapping around the mug, the design mixes foxgloves and creamy Rosa arvensis with bees, a cabbage white butterfly and a common blue butterfly. The practical, chunky porcelain shape is perfect for enjoying out in the garden or whenever and wherever you need a soothing hot drink and a dose of nature.
