Theodor Daschund Brooch

Silver-tone dachshund brooch inspired by the playful geometric designs of the 1920s, as popularised by jewellers working in the tradition of Gustav Braende for the celebrated German jeweller Theodor Fahrner. Fahrner's firm, established in Pforzheim, was one of the first to produce affordable, design-led costume jewellery in the Art Nouveau and Art Deco styles, commissioning work from leading designers of the period and bringing a quality of artistic ambition to small, wearable objects that had previously been reserved for pieces in precious materials. A lovely gift for any admirer of 1920s jewellery design or for anyone with a particular fondness for the dachshund, a breed that has always attracted admirers of great discernment.
