Hand-crafted replica made from a direct mold of the original medieval carving within St. Laurence’s Church in Ludlow. Depicting a hart at rest, the piece is part of a misericord carved between 1433 and 1470, capturing the craftsmanship and symbolism of the time. Surprise gift for my "Ludlow" husband. He loves it. Well made, but heavy. Only ever been to Ludlow once, 26 years ago, to see the origin of the surname. I vaguely recall seeing the original in St Laurence's, but from pictures I know it's a faithful and detailed reproduction.
