Frosted Feline Glass Ornament

Sublimely sleek, a characterful cat ornament captures a cat with pricked ears, raised tail and intent focus. Created by hand by the skilled glassblowers at Teign Valley Glass in Devon, where studio glass has been created with traditional care for over 35 years, the stylised form echoes 1930s sculptures created by leading Czech glass artist Heinrich Hoffman (1875-1939). Known for his ‘satin’, or frosted glass finish this superbly sinuous sculpture in black frosted glass makes a striking focal point when displayed and is as captivating to look at as it is to hold. A collectible creation, each cat’s size may vary slightly having been created by hand using traditional tools and techniques to shape the glass by hand without moulds.
