Inspired by a traditional bee skep from circa 1800, now held in the Victoria and Albert Museum, this hand-enamelled metal box is detailed and crystal-set, celebrating the historic art of beekeeping. Skeps—woven straw hives—are iconic symbols of industriousness and community, often featured in English folk art and decorative objects during the 18th and 19th centuries.
