PRODUCT DETAILS
Description
This woven cotton tapestry hanging reproduces a detail from ‘Water Lilies’ by Claude Monet (1840 – 1926), a series of around 250 oil paintings depicting his flower garden at Giverny; the main focus of Monet's artistic production during the last thirty years of his life. Painting 'en plein air', Monet worked to capture the fleeting effects of light and the natural world using rapid brushstrokes painted directly onto the canvas. This unique piece of wall art celebrates the paintings of the founder of the Impressionist style, now on display in galleries and museums worldwide.

Back of tapestry wrinkled and it should not be folded in transit.

It was lovely to have something different to a conventional print of the Waterlilies. Generous size and vibrant colours , I love it. I was a little dismayed by the creases in the tapestry as a result of it being packaged folded rather than rolled but a gentle, warm iron on the reverse solved the problem.
