Florentine King Duvet Set

Printed cotton king duvet set with striking floral, fruit and bird motifs on the face and a contrasting foliage reverse, recalling the decorative textiles of the Renaissance, when natural imagery such as, flowers, fruits, birds and foliage symbolised ideas of abundance, virtue and the divine order of creation. This tradition of richly meaningful pattern ran from the great Flemish and Italian weavers of the 15th century through to the embroidered and printed furnishing textiles of the Tudor and Elizabethan periods.
