RHS
The world's leading gardening charity at the helm of stunning gardens and flower shows, the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) was founded in 1804 as the Horticultural Society of London. The creation of this institution was suggested by John Wedgwood, who, along with his friends, established regular meetings and developed the society's early aims and objectives such as fruit-breeding. Today, the society has four major gardens in England: Wisley Garden, Rosemoor Garden, Hyde Hall and Harlow Carr. Our collection of home and giftware reflects botanical art and interests, with prints inspired by 19th-century illustrations held in the Royal Horticultural Society's Lindley Library and designs referencing exotic birds and tropical flowers from hand-coloured engravings. Diaries and calendars include botanical paintings and watercolour drawings from collectors and painters along with colourful photographic portraits of garden visitors.
