Description
Floral two-handled dolomite pot or planter decorated with meadow flowers, echoing the watercolour studies of Caroline Maria Applebee (c.1786–1854). Applebee’s delicate botanical paintings reflected the Georgian and Victorian enthusiasm for natural history and domestic gardening. In the early nineteenth century, the study and depiction of plants became a popular pastime among women of education and means, offering a socially acceptable avenue for artistic expression and scientific engagement. Such imagery frequently decorated ceramics and textiles. Ideal for displaying seasonal blooms or herbs on a kitchen windowsill, conservatory, or garden table. Makes a thoughtful gift for keen gardeners or lovers of botanical art.

It's bright and cheerful however does not have sufficient capacity to contain a plant pot 11 x 11 cm. This is why I am disappointed.
Thank you for your feedback. We’re pleased to hear you found the Applebee Wildflower Planter bright and cheerful, but we’re sorry that it did not have sufficient capacity to hold a plant pot of the size you needed. Kind regards, Alice.
