Golf Shoe Socks

Printed all-in-one, the soles of the socks feature printed ‘spikes’ so you can feel dressed for golf wherever you go. Inspired by the stout, nailed-shoes which developed in the 19th century as preferred and practical attire for the golf course, golf shoes appeared in Saddle Oxford, ‘Kiltie’ (with a fringe of leather), and Spectator (or ‘co-respondent’) styles by the 1880s. The combination with Argyle socks reflected the sporty attire of the fashionable Prince Edward (1894-1972) in the 1920s when he was Duke of Windsor.
