Orient Express Jigsaw

A jigsaw puzzle to transport you to a golden age of travel. A nostalgic montage of railway poster art, a historical map and travel-themed ephemera celebrates the luxury, glamour and long-distance travel synonymous with The Orient Express, the iconic passenger service first run in 1883 and, from 1889, which connected Paris with Constantinople (modern-day Istanbul). Featuring details from an 1888 poster by Jules Chéret; a German cutaway illustration inside a dining car from 1896; and an illustration of ‘L’Orient Express’, as the train was called until 1891, from 1884. A contemporary design by Brighton-based artist Maria Rivans, the intricate design is full of details to make the design a pleasure to pore over. Handsomely boxed, and including a large image guide for the finished design, the jigsaw makes a wonderful gift for any lover of travel.
