Nor will I then thy modest grace forget, / Chaste Snow-drop, venturous harbringer of Spring, / And pensive monitor of fleeting years! – William Wordsworth from ‘ To a Snow-Drop’ (1770-1850)
Reflecting on the Winter as it turns to Spring, this pretty floral candle has been inspired by a 1920 watercolour study by English illustrator and children's book author Margaret W. Tarrant, (1888-1959). Specialising in fairy-like depictions, the design of snowdrops in the snow echoes Tarrant's delicate use of watercolour.
