Description
Charming pewter pincushion based on an original piece made in Birmingham in 1906. Such fanciful designs were popular at the end of the 19th century with natural motifs being fashioned into all manner of sewing accessories, including pincushions. This pincushion is cast in the shape of one of Britain’s favourite woodland animals: the hedgehog. When you add your pins to the cushion, to keep them safely out the way when you’re working, you will naturally create the spines of the hedgehog. This pincushion is the ideal way to express your love of sewing or embroidery.
