Pack of 10 Degas Ballerina Christmas Cards

Elegant Christmas cards with glistening biodegradable glitter details adding a snowy effect to the stage and scenery of a detail from Edgard Degas’ (1834-1917) atmospheric pastel, ‘Ballet at the Paris Opéra’, 1877. Degas’s expressive use of pastels – which he called ‘the powder of butterfly wings’ - perfectly captures the fairytale atmosphere of ballet and sparkling tutus. The original and much-larger work is now in the collection of The Art Institute of Chicago. Lovely cards to send to any lover of ballet, an art-form which has become, for many, a much-loved fixture of any Christmas season.
