Includes a lithograph capturing Queen Victoria’s Christmas tree, c.1848; 'Happy Christmas', 1891, by Viggo Johansen (1851-1935); whimsical Christmas dogs by Carl Reichert (1836-1918); plus 1920s illustrations by Bella Vichon and Margaret W. Tarrant. From hushed admiration to joyful decorations, the cards are a perfect showcase for the festive moods created by the much-loved Christmas icon.
