			                An evocative collection of Christmas cards reproducing 20th and 21st century paintings of country churches and great city cathedrals by popular British artists. From York Minster and St Paul’s; to Durham Cathedral and snowy Leicestershire and Cotswolds villages. Includes idyllic views painted by Stanley Roy Badmin (1906-89), Stanley Cooke (1913-96), 20th century Welsh artist Elwyn Rhys Roberts, Peter Swan-Brown (b.1936), Alan Ingham (1932-2002), and John Corcoran (b.1940). All images are taken from the archives of Royle Publications, one of Britain’s leading post-war card publishers.

        The “theme” of the cards is very appropriate with church views as Christmas used to be more of a religious celebration than sadly it is now.
However the size of the cards is disappointing & the catalog gives a misleading impression that they are bigger

        Rather small in size, but nice church scenes. Not too overly 'religious', but they draw upon the collective concept of Christmas being a time to appreciate and maybe visit a church for a Christmas service.
