Description
Christmas cards to delight all the family, reproducing 10 scenes from a 1934 edition of Clement Clarke Moore’s (1779-1863) much-loved poem, ‘A Visit from St. Nicholas’, first published in 1823. Each card includes the text from verses and stanzas of Clement Clarke Moore’s poem, better-known today as ‘The Night Before Christmas’. The colourful illustrations were created by a, then, American High School Junior, Helmuth F. Thoms (1915-94). The work was originally commissioned for a Public Works Administration Art Project and is now in the collection of the Toledo Lucas County Public Library, USA.

We are not sending masses of cards this year as even 2nd class postage is so high 85p. We bought these for just our own immediate family.
