Description
Christmas cards to spread Christmas cheer with festive parcels, packages and gifts. Reproducing jolly Christmas images from 19th and 20th century European and American postcards, greetings cards and magazines. Includes ‘Christmas Joy’, 1924, by Norwegian/American artist Segur Gulbransen; ‘A Merry Christmas’, 1912, by American artist Frances Brundage (1854-1937); and ‘Jultomte’, c.1899, from a Christmas card illustration by Swedish artist Jenny Nyström (1854-1946). Nyström’s depiction of folkloric Swedish ‘tomte’ with long beards and red hats captured the public’s imagination, linking the traditional figures of Swedish folklore with the American representation of Santa Claus. Fun and festive, the colourful cards will bring joy to your loved ones this Christmas.

Very festive and pretty vintage style Christmas cards that I’m looking forward to using this year. Sadly though the price of postage keeps going up so I’m not sure if I will continue to send cards after this year
