10 Die-Cut Altarpiece Christmas Cards

Exceptional Christmas cards with clever die-cutting to reproduce the intricate shape and glorious colours of two 14th century Italian altarpieces, now in the collection of the National Gallery of Art, Washington. With both altarpieces focusing upon the Madonna and Child with angels at its centre, the triptych designs reproduce the work of Agnolo Gaddi (c.1350-96), also depicting Saints Andrew, Benedict, Bernard and Catherine of Alexandria from c.1387; and an altarpiece from c.1354 which combined the talents of Puccio di Simone and Allegretto Nuzi. Simone painted the central panel of the Madonna and Child Enthroned with angels and four saints, as well as the right-hand panel depicting St. Venantius; Nuzi painted the left-hand panel depicting St. Anthony the Abbot. With space to write on the back of the cards, the cards can be displayed standing with the wings to the side.
