Endearing Christmas cards which reproduce ‘The Pups’ Christmas Pudding’, a charming c.1930s illustration by British artist Cecil Aldin (1870-1935). Famed for his characterful studies of dogs, the prolific artist illustrated ‘Dogs of Character’, published 1928 and a series pf pencil sketches which have become highly collectable today. With just the holly sprig remaining, this festive image suggests that the assembled pups have enjoyed a Christmas Day feast.
