Description
An enchanting Advent calendar and 3-D decoration to countdown to Christmas. With 32 press-out pieces, set-up the scenery by slotting the pieces together and then create a whimsical woodland scene by adding a numbered piece over 24 days of December. Printed on both sides, the sturdy cardboard pieces slot together without glue and create a charming Christmas scene with illustrations by contemporary Australian illustrator Elise Hurst. Join a storytelling rabbit, a balloon-bearing duck, and gift-giving hedgehogs in a festive diorama reminiscent of the endearing anthropomorphic art of British illustrators such as Margaret W. Tarrant (1888-1959), Racey Helps (1913-70), and Norman Meredith (1909-2005). Supplied flat and made with sturdy printed card, enjoy making and remaking this Advent Calendar-scene year after year.
