Strawberry Thief Memo Cube

A handsome memo cube, complete with a useful drawer to tuck away odds and ends, decorated with details from two of William Morris’s (1834-96) timeless designs. The body of the cube reproduces a blue-colourway of ‘Strawberry Thief’, 1881, which was inspired by watching the thrushes stealing fruit from his kitchen garden at Kelmscott Manor. In contrast, the flip-up lid is decorated with a green-and-off white colourway of ‘Willow’, 1874 – a cherished design Morris later re-imagined as ‘Willow Boughs’. Containing 400 sheets of plain memo paper, the cube is a useful addition to a desk or to keep at hand for jotting lists and taking messages. The drawer includes Kelmscott-press style lettering ‘W.M.’ and is finished with an aged brass-tone drawer pull. The memo cube co-ordinates with our Strawberry Thief Pen Duo.
