Flavourful, English-made Dijon & Wholegrain Mustard with Ale, inspired by 18th-century recipes and containing 185g each of wholegrain mustard with spitfire ale and Dijon mustard. Dijon mustard, originating in Burgundy during the 18th century, became a staple of refined dining, while wholegrain varieties offered rustic appeal. The addition of ale recalls traditional English recipes, where beer was incorporated to enrich flavour. Such condiments were celebrated in Victorian cookery books, illustrating a period when culinary traditions embraced both continental sophistication and local heritage.
