PRODUCT DETAILS
Description
A charming garden gift, this pair of tortoise ornaments recalls the mid-19th-century fashion for keeping tortoises as garden pets, a pastime enjoyed by many Victorian naturalists and collectors. Most famously, Harriet the tortoise, believed to have been collected by Charles Darwin from the Galápagos Islands in 1835, lived to the remarkable age of 175, becoming an enduring symbol of longevity and quiet endurance. Crafted from polyresin with a verdigris-coloured finish, these decorative figures add a touch of character to borders, patios or pots. Please note natural weathering will occur over time when left outside.

They are very similar, extremely light weight and hollow Don't think they will be very durable. Would be better if different size. Disappointed
Thank you for your feedback on the Pair of Tortoise Ornaments. We’re sorry to hear that they felt too lightweight and hollow and that the size didn’t meet your expectations. Our customer service team will be in touch to assist. Kind regards, Alice.

Liked them so much that I ordered a 2nd set for Mother’s Day unfortunately 2nd set arrived with a broken tail at my mums. I didn’t realise and she tried to arrange return but found staff unhelpful. She did not want to bother me.
Thank you for your feedback, and we're so sorry to hear about your experience with the second set of tortoise ornaments. It’s lovely to know you liked them enough to order again, but we completely understand how disappointing it must have been for your mum to receive a damaged item, especially as a Mother’s Day gift. We also regret that her interaction with our team was not as helpful or supportive as it should have been. That’s certainly not the level of service we aim to provide. We’ve passed this on to our customer service and product teams to ensure better handling in the future, both in packaging and support. Our customer service team will be in touch. Kind regards, Alice.

These were, in fact, a replacement for something else which was out of stock, but themselves give pleasure. They have been lurking at the edge of our small back yard, and as far as I know have been behaving themselves! Very decent value for money, I think.

I purchased these as novelty items for the garden and the kids love them. They are love like and look so placed in the right area.
