Striking and distinctive, this vibrant jacket vividly recalls motifs from the spirited Belle Époque. An era of elegance, the fin de siècle produced some of the finest and most illustrious designs seen across fashion and the decorative art. This Elegant brocade jacket reflecting the popularity of the regal peacock motif with Art Nouveau designers such as Arthur Silver (1852-1896) who created the enduring 'Peacock Feathers' in 1887. Lavish gold, green and blue hues have been used to create our Peacock Brocade Jacket.

A beautiful jacket, bought to wear over a dark teal-blue dress at a forthcoming wedding. The fabric’s pattern and the detailing are lovely (eg piping, buttons and toning lining) and size S fits me (10/12) perfectly around the bust, hips and sleeve length.
It was delivered in a sturdy box, well packed to avoid any damage.

The guidelines said it comes up small, so I ordered the Large size but that was huge. I have had to re-order the size I usually take ie Medium.

Lovely jacket. I really like the way the fabric catches the light, and the colours are beautiful. I intend wearing it to a wedding - it’s certainly special enough for a formal occasion. But I also think you could dress it down with a well-fitting pair of jeans.
