20 Victorian Floral Frame Cards

Charming greetings cards which feature die-cutting to create elegant, scalloped edges on three sides and with the card fronts printed with four thoughtful greetings: ‘With best wishes’; ‘Thank you’; ‘A little note to say’; and ‘Just for you’. Blank inside for your own message, the cards are adapted from highly decorative-late Victorian photo album mounts; now in the collection of the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam. Designed to hold photographs and visiting cards, decorative cardboard mounts were used to frame images in family albums; popularly displayed in the parlour to entertain visitors with family mementoes. With dainty designs mixing roses, passionflowers, blossom, pansies, wild strawberries, and butterflies, the cards are a lovely way to send thank you notes and thoughts to friends and family.
