Elegant gift wrap showcasing a contemporary printed patchwork of Morris and Company wallpaper samples, selected from 138 surviving swatches in a company sample book, c.1900s-1917, now in the collection of the Brooklyn Museum, which clients could use to select particular colourways and designs for their homes. Founded by Arts and Crafts pioneer William Morris (1834-96), the firm which began life as Morris, Marshall, Faulkner & Co, became Morris & Co., under Morris’s sole charge, in 1875. Expanding in the 1880s, the company had agents in Europe, North America and Australia. Mixing over twenty Morris & Co. designs, from ‘Sweetpea’, ‘Daisy’, and ‘Blackberry’; to ‘Clover’, ‘Sweet Briar’, and ‘Larkspur’; and overlaid with floral details adapted from ‘Chrysanthemum’: the detailed gift wrap designs are ideal for wrapping gifts whether large or small. Supplied as convenient folded sheets, the wrapping paper is compact to store and sure to delight your recipients whatever the season.
