Description
Bright and bold greetings cards which reproduce a fun design from a die-cut bridge tally-scorecard c.1920-30. Originally produced by The Buzza Company, a leading American publisher based in a Minneapolis, founded 1907, and designed to record bridge scores; decorative tally cards became a fashionable addition to the card table in the 1930s when Harold Stirling Vanderbilt’s (1884-1970) more strategic rules for contract bridge from 1925 became popular for after-dinner entertainment. Recreating the die-cut basket-shape of the original, with gold foil details highlighting the gold ink of the original. With a clever folding stand and space for your message on the back of the basket, the cards mix stylised lilies, tulips, daffodils and anemones in a delightful basket: perfect to send loved ones and brighten their day.
