Description
A handsome desk set with two useful notepads and a pen, presented in a decorative holder. Printed with a smart marbled design, recalling 19th century examples which were popularly used as end papers for decorative book bindings. Thought to have developed from Turkish ‘ebru’, marbled paper-techniques became a speciality of Italian paper-makers, with Florence becoming a notable centre of the art form in the 16th century. With decorative borders and a keepsake holder, this co-ordinating desk set is ideal for jotting messages and making shopping lists.

Although the quality of the product is excellent, how much relevance does this product have to our modern lives? When so much of our communication these days is by email or mobile phone, do we really use notepads in the same way as we used to? The design, although classic, does look rather old fashioned to me. But the pen writes wery well.
