Atmospheric snow scenes in Christmas cards reproducing paintings by Impressionist masters Claude Monet (1840-1926) and Camille Pissarro (1830-1903). A popular subject with Impressionist and Post-Impressionist painters, snowy landscape scenes fascinated the artist’s as a challenge to capture the fleeting and uniquely reflective light effects of snow. Includes ‘The Magpie’, 1868-69, and ‘Snow at Argenteuil’, 1875 by Monet; and ‘Piette’s House at Montfoucault’, 1874 by Pissarro.
