Victorian LED Lit Glass House

Victorian-inspired glass house lit softly from within by LEDs, evoking the nineteenth-century craft of the paper cut, known also as scherenschnitte, when intricate scenes were cut by hand and illuminated from behind by candlelight to cast delicate silhouetted patterns. The craft had flourished in Europe since the seventeenth century and became a popular parlour pastime in Victorian Britain, prized for the patience and fine hand skill it required, its lace-like silhouettes often used to decorate windows, screens and keepsakes. Lovely as a Christmas decoration for anyone who loves traditional craft and softly atmospheric lighting through the winter evenings.
