Strawberry Thief Small Storage Jar

Small glass storage jar decorated with 'Strawberry Thief', 1883, designed by William Morris for use as a furnishing textile. Inspired by thrushes stealing fruit from his garden, the pattern became one of Morris & Co.’s most luxurious and technically complex designs. Morris drew on medieval and Persian influences to create designs that elevated everyday objects into works of art.
