Still Life Tea Set Lap Tray

Still life cushioned lap tray reproducing Jean-Étienne Liotard's still life Tea Set (c.1783), now held in the Getty Museum. The Swiss painter (1702–1789) brought to this intimate domestic subject the same acuity of observation he had turned on the courts and societies of Europe. It combines a printed heat-resistant surface with a wooden frame and cushioned green fabric base.
