Bobbin Mouse Ornament

Christmas mouse decoration echoing a nineteenth-century illustration, with a little wool felt mouse perched on a turned wooden bobbin with holly and berries at the base. The wooden bobbin recalls the tools of traditional needlework and textile production, when thread was wound onto turned spools for spinning, weaving and lacemaking, a domestic craft central to households for centuries before the rise of industrial manufacture. Made from sustainable pine, this charming ornament gives a warm, handcrafted appeal that nods to a bygone age of needlework and cottage industry. Delightful for anyone who loves traditional craft, or charming as an addition to a rustic Christmas display.
