Carcanet Lapis & Iolite Pendant

Lapis and iolite pendant inspired by the centrepiece of a Spanish carcanet—a wide jewelled collar—dating from 1550 to 1600. Crafted in gold-plated silver and set with lapis lazuli and iolite, this pendant recalls Renaissance Spain’s affinity for richly decorated jewellery that symbolised wealth and status. Carcanets were often worn by nobility during important ceremonies.
